Med Minder
Coming soon to iPhone and Android

Never miss a dose.
Even off the grid.

Add what you take and when. Med Minder rings at every scheduled time and you tap once to log it. The alarms live on your phone, not on a server — so they arrive on time in a basement, on a plane, or on a handset that has not seen a signal all day.

Why it arrives

Most reminder apps send a push.
Med Minder sets an alarm.

A dose reminder has one job: be there at the right minute. That is not something to route through a server and hope for.

The usual way

A push notification

  • Needs a connection at the exact moment it fires.
  • Goes through someone else’s delivery queue.
  • Can be delayed, batched or quietly dropped.
  • Stops entirely if the server is having a bad day.
Med Minder

A local alarm

  • Scheduled by the phone’s own alarm clock.
  • Fires in airplane mode, in a lift, in a basement.
  • Re-armed automatically after a restart.
  • Re-synced the moment you edit a schedule anywhere.

iOS caps how many reminders an app may have pending at once. Med Minder budgets under that cap deliberately — a daily medication becomes one repeating alarm per time rather than seven weekly ones — so a long medication list never quietly loses its evening dose.

How it works

Three steps, then it looks after itself

There is no setup wizard, no import, and nothing to configure. Add a medication and the reminders arm themselves.

1

Add what you take

Name, dosage and any notes. Pick a colour and an icon so it stands out in a list of five. Takes about twenty seconds.

2

Say when

Any number of times a day, on any set of weekdays. Twice daily every day, or once on Monday, Wednesday and Friday — both are the same two taps.

3

Answer the reminder

A notification at every scheduled time. Tap once to log the dose as taken, or swipe to skip it. Tapped the wrong one? Tap again to undo.

The app

Three screens. That is the whole thing.

Translucent surfaces over a slowly drifting aurora, in light and dark — and it honours your phone's reduce-motion setting.

Adherence

A running seven-day figure in Settings, so you can see how the week actually went rather than guessing.

Features

Everything a medication tracker needs, and nothing it doesn't

No streaks to protect, no social feed, no wellness score. It reminds you, you tap, it remembers.

Reminders that hold up

One notification per scheduled time, set by the operating system itself. They survive a reboot, a timezone change and a week with no signal.

Any schedule you actually have

Any number of times a day, on any set of weekdays. Once daily, three times daily, or Monday-Wednesday-Friday only.

One tap to log a dose

Taken or skipped, straight from the day's list or the notification. Tap again to undo — nothing is ever locked in.

Colour and icon per medication

Eight accents and ten icons. A glance at the list is enough to tell the blue morning tablet from the purple evening one.

Seven-day adherence

A single honest number in Settings for how much of the last week you actually took, built from the log rather than a streak you can game.

Sync, only if you want it

Sign in with Apple, Google or an email address and your schedule follows you to a new phone. Or skip sign-in entirely and keep it all on the device.

Light and dark, properly

The liquid-glass interface is built for both, and follows your system setting unless you tell it otherwise.

Nothing held back

No medication limit, no reminder limit, no history cut off after a week. The paid upgrade removes an ad — that is all it does.

Pricing

Free, in the way you’d want free to mean

Nothing about your medication is behind a paywall. The app earns its keep from one banner at the bottom of the screen, and you can buy that away once if it bothers you.

Privacy

A medication list is about as personal as data gets

So Med Minder treats it that way. The app works fully signed out, and the only reason to sign in is to move your schedule between devices.

Read the privacy policy
  • Signed out means on-device

Skip the sign-in screen and your medications and dose log never leave the phone. Nothing to sync, nothing to leak.

  • Signed in means yours alone

Your schedule syncs to your own account so a new phone picks it up. It is not sold, and it is not shared with advertisers.

  • Deletable, in the app

Delete your account from Settings and the medications, the schedule and the whole dose log go with it.

FAQ

Questions worth asking first

Anything else, email grant@thebitlion.com.

Is Med Minder free?

Yes. Every feature — unlimited medications, unlimited reminders, the dose log, sync across devices — is free, supported by a small banner ad at the bottom of the screen. One optional $0.99 purchase removes the banner forever. There is no subscription and nothing is held back behind it.

Do reminders work without a connection?

Yes, and that is deliberate. Reminders are scheduled on the device with the operating system's own alarm scheduler rather than sent as push notifications, so they fire exactly on time on a phone in airplane mode, in a basement, or one that has not spoken to a server in days. They are also re-armed automatically after a reboot.

Do I need an account?

No. You can skip sign-in entirely and keep everything on the device. Signing in — with Apple, Google or an email address — is what makes your medications and history follow you to a new phone.

How many medications can I add?

As many as you like, each with any number of times a day on any set of weekdays. Give each one a colour and an icon so a glance at the day's list is enough to tell them apart.

What if I take something a bit late, or skip it?

Tap once to mark a dose taken, or swipe to skip it. Tap again to undo either. Settings keeps a running seven-day adherence figure so you can see how the week actually went rather than guessing.

Can I use it for someone I care for?

Med Minder tracks one person's schedule per account, so a carer managing their own medication and someone else's would want a separate account for each. Shared and multi-profile schedules are on the list.

What happens to my data?

If you stay signed out, nothing leaves the phone. If you sign in, your medications and dose log sync to your account so a new device picks up where the old one left off. It is never sold, and you can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app.

Is Med Minder medical advice?

No. It is a reminder and a log — it does not check interactions, suggest dosages or diagnose anything. Follow the instructions from your doctor or pharmacist, and talk to them before changing what you take.

Which platforms does it run on?

iPhone and Android. Both are built from the same codebase and get the same features at the same time.

The dose you forget is the one that matters

Med Minder is finishing up for iPhone and Android. Leave your address and you’ll hear from us the day it lands — nothing else, ever.
